Greetings Kelly!
Disney’s Vero Beach Resort is one of the most idyllic Disney hotels. Crashing waves and soft, warm sand are a mere two hours away from Walt Disney World Resort. I love the old-fashioned charm mixed with friendly, Floridian hospitality. My family vacationed there last Easter, and Wind & Waves Market quickly became our most frequent stop - why you ask? Because - DOLE WHIP!
There are so many fun things to do both inside the resort and out. We loved renting bikes at
Eb & Flo’s Rentals and spending the afternoon biking along The Indian River Lagoon. If we weren’t biking, we were getting plenty of time in the sun! My kids thought the pirate ship at
Tiger Lily Wet Play Area was made especially for them, and my twin boys learned how to float on their own in the pool! When they were tired of the pool, (which was rare!), we headed down to the beach, where the kiddos happily made sand castles, and I indulged in a book by the sea.
While the miles of unspoiled beach has public access, many of the Resort amenities, including access to recreational equipment, the Resort pool, waterslide, sun deck, and wet play area are reserved exclusively for Resort Guests. Since there are no “day passes” available at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort, I would highly recommend
booking at least one night’s stay. I guarantee you will not regret it!
Thanks for the question, and feel free to swing back on by anytime!
