    Our Disney vacation is nearly a month away, and we would like to start a countdown towards the big day. Can you recommend any mobile apps that will help our family countdown to D(isney)-day?

    Hi Susan!

    Counting down the days until your Walt Disney World vacation is so exciting! I have several methods, both technical and non-technical, to get the entire family exciting about the upcoming vacation.

    First, there is an app called Countdown to Disney. You can customize your background photo and enable notifications as well. There are also several countdown apps I like to use to countdown to my Disney vacations and other significant events. Those help my kids understand when our Disney trip will occur in relation to other activities, such as birthdays, holidays and days off from school. The one I use is How Many Days Until. You can also count down the days until you can make your Advance Dining Reservations!

    I also created a countdown calendar for my kids with little toys and trinkets that they get each day prior to the vacation. I give them little things that will be helpful on the vacation, such as rain ponchos, Disney dollars, pin trading books, autograph books and Disney t-shirts. This is a fun way to get the kids things that they will need during the trip as well as getting them more and more excited each day!
