I am a Disney vacation club member and would like to book a vacation. I am not sure how to start.

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Susie!

You are as welcome as can be here at planDisney! How exciting that you are planning ahead for your next Disney vacation using your Disney Vacation Club Membership. As a Member for the last 22 years, Disney Vacation Club has given our family flexible, affordable family vacations year after year.  I love helping fellow Disney Vacation Club Members plan their vacations.  It's like sharing a cup of sugar with my fellow neighbor!

Susie, to book your Disney Vacation Club stay using your Disney Vacation Club Points, remember that you may book your Home Resort beginning 11 months from your desired check-in date.  If eligible, you may book all other Disney Vacation Club Resorts using your Vacation Points beginning 7 months in advance of your desired check-in date.

To do this, you have two options.  First, you can call Member Services to assist you.  You can also do it online at the Disney Vacation Club website.  If you'd like to book your Disney Vacation Club Resort yourself, log in to your account on the DVC website and click on the tab that says "My DVC" on the right.

Then, go to "My Dashboard" and scroll halfway down where it says "Plan My Next Vacation."  You can put in the dates for your desired stay and then click the blue button that says "Check Availability."   You can filter by location or even Resort.

Now, once you have your Disney Vacation Club Resort booked, you can purchase your theme park tickets (for either Disneyland or Walt Disney World Resort) if you are headed to the theme parks.  If you are booking a stay at one of the Disney Beach Resorts, you won't need theme park tickets.  After purchasing your theme park tickets, you can reserve your Advanced Dining Reservations beginning 60 days from your Resort check-in date. If you plan to do any of the Enchanting Extras, you can also book these beginning 60 days from your Resort check-in date.

I recommend starting with the Disney Vacation Club Resort, and then going from there. If you have further Disney vacation planning questions, we can certainly help you navigate it. Write me back and I'll be so glad to answer your questions.

I hope this helps you, Susie! If you have any further questions, soar back here to see me and I'll be so happy to help you.

    Magically Yours,
    Keri
