I am considering booking a vacation at Disneyland Villa (we have points there) for my granddaughter (will be age 17). Must there be and adult on the reservation? Are there other restrictions I need to work through? Thanks!

Welcome Home, Rick! Thanks for stopping by planDisney. It's a great day whenever I get to help out a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member, and I'm here to channel my inner Judy Hopps to investigate your question!

What a generous grandparent you are to treat your granddaughter to a magical stay at The Villas at Disneyland Hotel! I'm staying there myself for the first time in a couple of weeks with some of my planDisney pals and I can't wait. As it's one of your Home Resorts, I'm sure you are very familiar with the great perks of staying so close to the magic at Disneyland Resort

Rick, the minimum age to check in is 18 at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resort Hotels. There has to be a lead guest who is legally an adult and can show a valid photo ID at the time of check-in.

Perhaps a 2- or 3-Bedroom Villa would be a fit for this situation--your granddaughter and her pals can enjoy The Happiest Place on Earth and the larger space will accommodate an adult to supervise. We recently sent our teenagers off on their own independent sister adventure at Walt Disney World and enjoyed having a chill day to enjoy our resort!

I hope this information is helpful for your planning purposes, Rick. If our planDisney crew can help with any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach out anytime! Thanks again for visiting.

    Stay Magical!
