    Does Disney usually offer the DP for free for check-ins around Thanksgiving? We're debating on moving our trip up to Nov 2017 instead of Spring Break 2018. And the free DP would be the deciding factor.

    Hi, Ashley! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for bringing us another great question! When planning our trips to Walt Disney World Resort, the first thing I look at is what Special Offers are available. They do offer some very magical ones, with the Free Disney Dining Special Offer being quite popular among guests. I have seen this appear at various times throughout the year, but it does seem to pop up around the fall. We have not yet seen what this year will bring for a fall offer, but there is a great website that keeps track of Walt Disney World Resort Special Offers. If you search MouseSavers.com for "historical discounts," their listing should give you a general idea of what guests visiting during prior Novembers have been offered.

    Ashley, I looked over the dates of prior Special Offers and do see that the dates immediately around Thanksgiving are usually not included in your favorite promotion. I would like to share a tip with you that has helped us take advantage of this delicious offer. In prior offerings, as long as guests checked-in to their Walt Disney World Resort hotel on or before the last day of the promotion, they have been able to enjoy it for their entire stay. If this offer is released, take a look at its valid dates. You may find that you could apply it to your stay if you simply move your arrival date by a day or two. November is one of our favorite months to visit the Resort, so I always welcome the addition of a few days to experience more of our "Happy Place" where the magic is endless!
