We'll be in Disney for two weeks in July (our boys first trip - ages 5 & 8). I'd like to do two or three character meals over the two weeks, especially with Mickey. Any suggestions?

    Hi Kathleen!

Character meals are great way to get up close and personal with the Characters without all the lines. Even my children who are getting into their teen years still love dining with the Characters!

    Here are a few suggestions:
    • Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort - Open for both breakfast and dinner, this is a great buffet with many offerings for all sorts of appetites. The dessert bar at dinner time is not to be missed! Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Pluto and Minnie usually make appearances here.
    • Donald's Safari Breakfast at Animal Kingdom- I've been dying to try this Character meal, and am very excited to finally have reservations for our next trip. I've heard from fellow Moms panelists that this is an excellent meal with wonderful character interaction. Mickey, Donald, Daisy and Goofy are usually in attendance here
    • Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom - breakfast, lunch and dinner with Pooh and friends. The puffed french toast at breakfast is incredible! YUM!
Another suggestion, if you're looking for a fun time is Mickey's Backyard Barbecue at Ft. Wilderness. Its a fun dance party where your kids can get up and party with the characters. More information can be found here, if you'd like to learn a little more.

    Have a great trip!
