When does disney travel send out the magical extras,we r go na be down there in 2 weeks ans haven't seen anything yet

    Hi there Curt,

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for visiting us with your question... and oh, boy! You're just a few more sleeps away from arriving at the Most Magical Place on Earth! That's so exciting. Are you having trouble sleeping? Are you TOO EXCITED to sleep....?!? Relatable.

I always look forward to receiving "Mickey mail" from our Disney World vacation package as our trip dates get close. You may see an envelope arrive any day now with details on those Magical Extras, along with the redemption vouchers.

I want to reassure you, though... hakuna matata, Curt! This is no time for fretting last minute details. It's time for packing your favorite Disney tees, and daydreaming about which Disney Park snack you're going to enjoy first! So if for any reason you do not receive the Magical Extra packet in the mail before your vacation, let's talk about the work around.

Some Magical Extra vouchers, like miniature golf, are actually attached to your My Disney Experience account and can be accessed that way. For example, to claim the perk of a free round of miniature golf, you won't need your physical voucher. A Cast Member can scan your MagicBand, Key to the World Card, or use your smartphone and it will allow you to redeem the round of mini golf.

I also chatted with a Cast Member who recommended that you ask at your Disney Resort's front desk upon arrival. She said they'll be happy to provide you with a physical "Magical Extras package", so you can use it to claim discounts on shopping and eating. Tah-daah! I like this option, because I love that burst of pixie-dust and warm "Welcome Home!" greeting you receive when first arriving at your magical resort's lobby. Ok, in truth I get choked up a bit. Mileage may vary.

One last tip before I go! Be sure to you have the My Disney Experience app installed and all ready to go before your trip. It's helpful for so many things, like finding the bus times from your resort to the parks, checking attraction wait times, looking for specific characters you may wish to meet, or even placing a mobile food order when you're in an attraction queue and start getting the munchies. Once you're done with your ride, you can just hop over to grab your food and skip the stand-by line! It's a nifty time saver.

You're going to have such a wonderful at Disney World, and I'm sending some pixie-dust your way! I hope this helps give you peace of mind for your Magical Extras. Please let us know at planDisney if we can answer any other questions.

    See ya' real soon!
    Tami
