Hi! If we use the Disney transportation bus from AoA to Magic Kingdom, do we still get on the monorail to get to the park or is that step eliminated by using the disney bus? Thanks!

    Hi Laura,

You are going to absolutely love Disney's Art of Animation Resort!  Imagine stepping into a classic Walt Disney or Disney-Pixar animated movie, and you'll get an idea of what's in store for your upcoming stay.

One of the many perks you'll enjoy by staying at a Disney Resort hotel is the complimentary bus transportation that's available throughout Walt Disney World, including to and from the theme parks, water parks, Downtown Disney Area and other resort hotels.  Most of the routes are direct, including the one between Art of Animation and Magic Kingdom.  Just look for the bus stop marked "Magic Kingdom" at your resort for the pick-up and drop-off spot.  That bus will then transport and deliver you directly to the Magic Kingdom bus stop, which is a short walk away from the front gate.  No need to board the monorail!  The same is true at the end of the day when you're heading back to your resort.  Just look for the bus stop number designated for Art of Animation for the pick-up spot.  I should tell you, though, that I'm a huge fan of the iconic monorail and make a point of riding it at least once during each visit, even if it's just for a quick trip around Bay Lake.

Wishing you a most magical vacation, Laura!  Please visit us again at the Disney Parks Moms Panel if we can answer any other questions.
