Hey there, Rene! From one Keystone state resident to another, let me welcome you to planDisney!
Rene, one of the reasons my family keeps coming back to the Walt Disney World Resort year after year is because each vacation truly is one of a kind and when you have a "split stay," it's like getting two vacations in one! Rene, this August, my family and I enjoyed a few nights at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas- Kidani Village before moving over to
Disney's Old Key West Resort, so I appreciate this question.
Rene, it looks like
you are not the only guest to wonder about this service and I'm happy to report that Bell Services at your resort WILL still transfer your luggage and groceries from one resort to another. Simply have everything packed up with luggage tags on and then let a Cast Member at Bell Services know which
resort you'll be at next.
Since you will have some groceries with you, I do recommend packing those securely in your luggage or a separate bag so that the groceries don't fall out. Keep in mind that it will take several hours to retrieve your belongings, so if you have items that need to be kept cold, investing in a few freezer packs will be money well spent. In addition, if you need quick access to medications or maybe swimming gear, I recommend keeping those essentials close at hand. On days that we move resorts, we love to enjoy the pool area as soon as we can, so I often will have a separate beach bag that we carry.
Rene, I hope this helps as you are looking ahead to your next vacation! If you're hoping to maximize your time, don't forget that
Online check-in allows you to skip the
Front Desk and head right to your room (
or 1-Bedroom Villa).
Best wishes, Rene, for a pixie-dusted stay. Please come back and see us here at planDisney with any other questions you might have.
