We have a split stay Pop Century to Contemporary in a couple of weeks. Will Disney still transfer our luggage from one resort to another now since COVID-19? How do I do I notify them that I’d like for them to do this? Do I tip?

    Hi Amy!

    Welcome to planDisney!

I am so excited to see that your vacation at the Most Magical Place on Earth is just around the corner! A split stay is a great idea, and a wonderful way to explore other Resort hotels, and you have made good choices.  Disney's Pop Century Resort has access to Disney's Skyliner, which is an attraction of a different kind, giving you a wonderful bird's eye view of the Resort as you travel to EPCOT or Disney's Hollywood Studios.  Disney's Contemporary Resort is in the enviable position of being within walking distance of Magic Kingdom Park, or if you prefer the monorail, this travels right through the middle of the hotel!

It is true to say that many procedures have been modified with the re-opening of the theme parks, and Bell Services has also undergone some adjustments.  However, your luggage can still be transferred to another Disney Resort hotel for you, just drop it at Bell Services on the morning of your check-out day, and request that they move it for you.  Once you arrive at your second Resort hotel you can either collect it from Bell Services yourself, or call them from your room.  At this time, luggage cannot be delivered to your room unless you are present.

If you receive good service and you wish to leave a tip, this is still possible, and I am sure would be welcomed by the very hard-working Disney Cast Members, and they will accept cash.  It is currently recommended that cashless payments are used where possible, so if you are tipping any restaurant servers I would add their gratuity to the bill.

During the phased re-opening of Walt Disney World, we may need a little more considered and careful planning, but our vacations to Walt Disney World Resort can still be a magical experience.  Please read this information about Returning to a World of Magic, and Disney Resort Hotels: Know Before You Go, and keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog for all the latest official updates as they are announced.

Please come back and ask as many questions as you like!  We are always happy to help you plan your vacation.
