Welcome to planDisney, Patti!
Thanks for stopping by with your question about switching resorts when staying onsite at Disney World. My family often stays at more than one Disney Resorts Collection hotel during a trip; split stays are great for us! It’s such a fun way to experience everything that makes each Disney Resort unique, whether it’s the theming, the food, or the activities. Going from the rustic charm of Fort Wilderness to the elegance of
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa (or anywhere in between) feels like getting two vacations in one, and I’m all for that kind of magic!
When it's time to check in at your second resort, you can count on
Bell Services to lend a hand with your luggage. They can move your bags from
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge - Kidani Village to the Villas at the Grand Floridian Resort as easy as Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo!
When you’re ready to check out, just stop by Bell Services with the luggage you’d like transferred to the Villas at the Grand Floridian (the desk is right by the entrance doors). Transfers can take a bit of time, so I always suggest keeping a small bag with anything you’ll need for the day. If it’s easier, Bell Services can even come to your room to collect your luggage. Once you arrive at the Grand Floridian, you can swing by Bell Services to grab your bags, or have them brought right to your room - whatever works best for you!
I hope this information is helpful to your planning, Patti. I hope you have a fantastic stay at the Most Magical Place on Earth!
See ya real soon,
Candace
