We have been to Disney MANY times before and stayed at a variety of hotels (at different leves). For the 1st time we will be going for xmas this year. We will be there dec23-30. Any suggestions (hotel preference, shows, xmas dinner). THANKS

    Hi Renee,

I'll be at WDW for Christmas this year too. When I asked my girls where they wanted to stay, the unanimous decision was the Wilderness Lodge. At other times they prefer the Beach Club, but during the holidays, the WL really seems to be the most homey/cozy/Christmasy of them all. You might also have a great time at a Fort Wilderness cabin. The folks that stay at FW do a great job of decorating, making it seem like a real holiday village.

With the high crowds during the holiday season, you'll want to find as many things to do that you can reserve in advance. This allows you to have as little time as possible waiting in line. Since you're frequent WDW visitors and have likely experienced most of the rides, this should now be your time to focus on recreation, tours, dining, and spas that you can reserve in advance.

Some of the things my family is going to reserve over the holidays is are a Behind the Seeds tour at Epcot, the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue, mani/pedi and spa treatments at the Spa at Saratoga Springs, a private PhotoPass portrait session, and a fabulous holiday dinner at Victoria & Albert's.

We'll also spend time at other non-park activities such as touring the holiday decorations at the resorts and shopping at Downtown Disney. There is plenty to do without subjecting yourself to the crowds in the parks.

    Happy planning!
