Hey, Tracey! The parks on New Year’s Eve can get incredibly crowded! When I visit during that time, I stay away from the parks too.
If you’re looking for a more relaxed way to celebrate but still want a bit of Disney magic,
Disney Springs is a great option.
While it doesn’t have the massive
fireworks like
Magic Kingdom or
EPCOT, Disney Springs still brings plenty of festive energy. In past years, there has even been a drone show lighting up the night sky, which added such a magical touch to the celebration during the holiday season. Disney hasn’t confirmed anything yet for this year, but it’s always possible they could do something special again. Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog closer to New Year’s for any announcements about events or surprises happening at Disney Springs.
In addition to the potential shows, you’ll find live music, themed drinks, and special dining experiences throughout the area. Places like
The Edison,
House of Blues, and
Raglan Road often have live bands or DJs, and many restaurants stay open late so you can toast to midnight in style.
The area is beautifully decorated for the season, making it a perfect place to stroll, shop, and snack your way into the new year, without the crowds of the parks!
Have a wonderful time during your visit, and please stop by and see us again for more planning help!
Toodles,
Korliss
