My family and I plan on spending new years at Orlando. We plan on having a nice dinner over at Disney Springs, and since we can’t go to the parks due to our blackout dates on our AP, where on Disney property can we watch New Years fireworks?

    Hiya Kaitlyn! Welcome to planDisney!

I'm excited to hear you'll be spending New Year's Eve at the Most Magical Place on Earth! Whether you are visiting the parks or enjoying other areas of Walt Disney World, you are sure to have a magical time!

I'm sorry to hear that your Annual Passes are blocked off for these dates. You'll be happy to know that there are still plenty of fun activities that you can do while visiting. Dinner at Disney Springs sounds like the perfect start to the evening. While there are no fireworks held at Disney Springs on this night, there may be a special display held just before midnight at EPCOT. No announcements have been made just yet, but I would follow along with the Disney Parks Blog for any updates. The best place to catch this show outside of the park is on Disney's Boardwalk. You can take a bus to Disney's Boardwalk Inn from Disney Springs, then walk out onto the Boardwalk to get a good spot to view the show.

The Magic Kingdom Park is scheduled to hold the Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks beginning 10 minutes before midnight. There are good viewing points from both Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, but they may only be available to Guests staying at these resorts. I would check with a Cast Member before heading over in case you are not able to view them from these locations.

I hope you have an amazing time! See ya real soon!

    Happy holidays!
