Going to Disney September 20 to 25, my kids are 13 (boy) and 9 (girl), what character dining would be suitable for both kids? Thanks. I just love your website.

    Krista,

There are several meals that I think would work for your family, depending on which characters you would like to see.

At the Polynesian you can have breakfast in 'Ohana with Lilo, Stitch, and friends.  This is a very good restaurant and this meal is especially popular for boys.

Another popular choice is breakfast or dinner at Chef Mickey's, where you'll find Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto.  This is a very festive and fun restaurant, and we eat here on every vacation.

A couple of other 'lesser-known' character meals that we enjoy are:

    • breakfast at the Cape May Cafe (Beach Club Resort) with Goofy, Pluto, Chip & Dale
    • lunch or dinner at the Garden Grill in Epcot with Mickey & friends
    • dinner at Gulliver's Grill in the Swan Resort - on certain nights you can find Timon and Rafiki here (from The Lion King) - be sure to ask when making your reservation so you know who to expect.  It used to be Monday and Friday nights, but it's been quite a while since we have attended so I can't say for sure now.

Character meals are a lot of fun for all ages.  I hope you find one that works well for your family.  Have a great vacation!
