We will be at disney sept 20-26 planning all 4 parks and was wondering if we should plan a day for the water parks or not. We only have a 3 year old boy and we weren't sure if there is a lot for him to do there. Would he enjoy a theme park better?

The Disney water parks are one of my favorite parts of WDW. We consistently have our best whole-family experience on the Blizzard Beach day of our vacation, but my kids are older (and taller) than yours.

Both the water parks have play areas dedicated for preschooler use. Tikes Peak at Blizzard Beach and Ketchakiddee Creek at Typhoon Lagoon have splash zones and some very gentle water slides. These are terrific if you have a multi-age family and need to keep a little one entertained. But frankly, I'm not sure I could I keep a child occupied there for the entire day. Unless you have a real water bug, I think your son could have a great time at your hotel pool and then have the rest of the day one of the theme parks. That would be the plan I'd make.

    Hope this helps.
