    We will be at Disney Sept 25 to Oct 2 and I just realized that the food and wine festival is there during that time. Will the parks likely be crazy crowded because of it? I hope not. :(

    I am going to be there at the same time. Say hi if you see me!

    So there is no doubt that the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival does cause an increase in crowd levels. But I find that it bumps up the crowds mostly in Epcot, and more on the weekends than the weekdays. 

    So with the event starting on the 27th, I would suggest you visit Epcot on one of your first two days. That way you avoid the crowds. And since that is the event's first weekend, it will be particularly crowded. Really, I think you will be dodging a bullet by arriving a few days before the Festival. You can get your Epcot experience in, and then enjoy the other parks while the festival kicks off.
