Do you still have the Disney Savings Plan?

    Hi Dale!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It's never too early to start saving for your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

Unfortunately, the savings plan you are asking about, the Disney Vacation Account, was discontinued a few years back. Never fear though, there are still other ways to save for your upcoming trip! I know several folks that purchase Disney Gift Cards leading up to their trip. They can be used to pay for practically everything during your trip and you won't have to fear a large credit card bill at the end because it's already been paid for. I would recommend trying something like this and taking what you would have contributed to the Disney Vacation Account and purchasing gift cards over time. You can also store all your gift card numbers in one place for reference back to totals and combining them when convenient. There are also several locations that Guests can even find discounted gift cards like Sam's, Costco or Target.

Happy savings and please come back and visit us!

My name is Lindsey and I'm a wife, mommy, engineer and self-proclaimed "Disnerd!" I've always loved Disney and the joy it brings to so many people. I've been to Disney more times than I can count, but I found an even greater passion for all things Disney after discovering runDisney events. There is no better motivation to train for a race than a trip to the most magical place on earth! Learn More About Lindsey
