Do the Disney Resorts provide a diaper genie or something similar? What extras do they offer for kids under 3?

    Hi Holly!

I'm so excited you've stopped by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We're happy to help with all of your Walt Disney World vacation planning questions!

I love visiting the parks with young children! Honestly, everything is so magical through the eyes of our youngest children. Even the smallest magical touches are extra special when your child experiences them for the first time! And, the good news is that Walt Disney World makes your trip easy! The first thing you'll want to know about is the Baby Care Centers at each of the theme parks. You should definitely take advantage of these! They feature special areas for nursing or feeding your child, microwaves, quieter napping areas, and even a toddler-sized potty, should you need it! There are also a number of items for sale, like diapers, wipes, formula, and more, just in case you're in a pinch and need something on the go.

At the resorts, you can also request a Pack N Play or bed rails. While I have not seen Diaper Genies at the resorts, it never hurts to ask. If you'd like to add a request for any of these items to your resort reservation, you'll want to call Walt Disney World at (407) 939-7630. Cast Members will add a note to your reservation. While the request cannot be guaranteed, I've always found that the resorts will do their best to accommodate you! One tip to consider - for in the parks or in the resorts - is to bring some plastic shopping bags from home. You can use these to tie up any diapers and then dispose of them in a trash can nearby (not in your room!).

During your stay, you'll definitely want to plan to have a stroller. These are available for rent at each of the theme parks, but you can also bring one with you from home. Even older children can be tired out very quickly with all of the excitement and activity, so you'll find that naps are needed more often than at home. Personally, I have always liked to bring a stroller with us so that we can use it at the airport, resorts, and any other places we may wander.

I hope you have a great time at Walt Disney World! Be sure to let us know if we can help with any other trip planning questions!
