Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Sunil! I must admit that I shed a couple of tears when the Walt Disney World Child Care Centers stopped operating in the summer of 2018. My Mouseketeers loved going to the former Neverland Club at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and this allowed my husband and me a few precious hours for an adult dinner. Don't despair, however, as Walt Disney World still has a few options for parents wanting to enjoy a night out!
Ahoy, Mateys!
Captain Hook's Pirate Crew is looking for a few swashbucklers to join their crew, which sets sail every night from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM at
Disney's Beach Club Resort. Kids are fed dinner before taking to the high seas on a treasure hunt/ pontoon boat ride around Crescent Lake. Reservations are strongly recommended and can be made by calling (407) 824-5437.
The
Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel is home to
Camp Dolphin, and you don't have to be a guest of the resort to sign up. Activities for children ages 4 through 12 include crafts, movies, board games, video games, and nightly themed activities. An optional kids meal from the resort's Quick Service restaurant,
Picabu, can be included for an additional fee. Camp Dolphin is open from 5:00 PM- 12:00 AM nightly, and reservations can be made at (407) 934-4241.
Shula's Steak House and
Todd English's bluezoo are both conveniently located at this resort and are excellent choices for an upscale meal.
Lastly, you might want to consider an in-room sitter.
Kid's Nite Out is a Family-Operated business, and they are the preferred caregiver of Walt Disney World. I've used this service for my son a couple of times when I've done runDisney races, and I've always been impressed with how professional and friendly the caregivers are. They show up with a "bag of tricks," which includes games, crafts, and coloring pages. I returned to my resort hotel room once to find my kiddo playing penguin bowling. Needless to say, he didn't miss me much! To contact Kid's Nite Out, please call (407) 828-0920, 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, seven days a week or you can visit their website at kidsniteout.com.
I hope this helps, Sunil! I hope you have a magical evening!
