Ahoy there, Karen!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Three chEARS for planning a trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth! I'm so excited to hEAR you and your party are interested in the Magical Extras at
Walt Disney World Resort. Many people don't realize how much there is to do around here outside of the
Theme Parks.
I'm happy to tell you that
B Resort & Spa Lake Buena Vista is part of the
Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels, which makes you eligible to rent a
Motorized Boat. Reservations are not required and are on a "first come, first served" basis. You can travel from your Resort to any Resort with a marina in order to enjoy your day on the water. I do want to remind you that boat rentals depend on weather conditions. Once, my family and I were ready to embark on our boating adventure when the skies started looking rough and the winds picked up. For safety reasons, we weren't allowed at the time to rent our boat, but I'm thankful for that. We waited out the storm, and once the shop opened back up, we were able to sail the high seas... or rather, lagoon! To this day, it remains one of our favorite memories.
If the future, even if you're not staying at a
Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you can look into
Specialty Cruises. The Fireworks Cruise is a dream! Aboard the boat, you get to watch
Happily Ever After right from the water. The boat has synchronized audio so you can sing along to your favorite Disney songs while watching the stunning display. Also available to all Guests is the Day Cruise Around the World. Kick back and relax as the captain takes you around Crescent and the World Showcase. I would like to point out that both of these Specialty Cruises do
require reservations.
Karen, may you and your party have fair winds and calm, magical seas!
