Hi Sherry,
One of the BEST parts about a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is definitely the food! Mmm...you'll find SO many delicious and fun
dining options!
You'll always find yummy options for snacks, Quick-Service restaurants, and even some Table-Service restaurants available at the last minute, but I do recommend making
reservations for any Table-Service restaurants on which your heart is set. I see that you're visiting around Christmas time, too, which is a very popular time to visit, so those reservations may be even more important. While it's likely that you'll find something available if you wait until the last minute; it just may not be at the location or time you're wanting. My suggestion would be to go ahead and make some dining reservations for times when you
think you might all want to eat together, and then cancel anything that you don't need as the date approaches. Just be mindful of each restaurant's specific cancellation policies so that you don't get charged for a meal that you don't eat!
If you do want to be more spontaneous, the My Disney Experience app is a GREAT tool to search for last-minute restaurant availability. I'd also encourage you to try some of the yummy and unique Quick-Service options, which don't require reservations. Some of my favorites are Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie at Epcot, Satu'li Canteen at Disney's Animal Kingdom, and Columbia Harbour House at Magic Kingdom Park. For many Quick-Service locations, you can even use the
mobile order feature through the My Disney Experience app! It's super convenient.
Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Sherry, and have a truly magical...and delicious...vacation!
Missy
