Does Disney provide any help with austistic

    Hey there, Susan!

I'm so happy to welcome you to planDisney! What a treat to be heading to Walt Disney World during the Halloween season! This time of the year transforms the parks into a playful celebration of (not-so) spooky fun! Whether you're trick-or-treating at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party or just soaking in the magic of the season, you're sure to create memories that will last a lifetime.

Disney truly goes above and beyond to make sure that every Guest has a magical experience, including those with disabilities. They offer a wide range of thoughtful services and accommodations designed to help make the parks more accessible, comfortable, and fun for everyone. It's one of the many reasons my family continues to return year after year. Disney will always go the extra mile to make everyone feel welcome and included.

One of the available accommodations is Disability Access Service, commonly known as DAS. This program was thoughtfully designed for Guests who, because of a developmental disability, may find it challenging to wait in a standard standby queue for extended periods of time. Rather than standing in line, DAS allows eligible Guests and up to 3 additional party members to request a return time for an attraction that's comparable to the current standby wait. This means they can enjoy other areas of the park until it's time to return and experience the attraction with a much shorter wait.

If you think you or someone in your party might benefit from extra support during your visit, you can chat with a Cast Member through a live video call to talk about what options might be the best fit. You can set up this chat as early as 60 days before your trip...just make sure the person who needs assistance is present for the call.

In the meantime, I'd definitely suggest checking out Disney's Accessibility Planning Guide & Recommendations. It's a really helpful resource that helps break down all the services and accommodations available throughout the parks.

Another handy resource can be found right in your My Disney Experience app. If you head over to the Accessibility & Health Services section, you'll find a wealth of information designed to help make your visit as enjoyable as possible. It's a convenient way to explore the different support options Disney offers, all right at your fingertips while you're planning or even during your visit.

Susan, I hope this information has been helpful. Should you have any other questions, you're always welcome as can be at planDisney!

    Magical Wishes,

    Kami
