Welcome, Paula!
Thank you for bringing another swell question to planDisney. It is wonderful to hear from you again. I hope you are having a wonderful time planning your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. While the true adventure is the vacation itself, half the fun is in the planning.
While maintenance can be a bit of a nuisance during our visits, the end results are always worth the wait. Stormalong Bay is amazing and it will be sad to see it closed for a few months. Unfortunately, the closing is listed to last from January 2025 through June 2025. Although the main water recreation area will be closed, you will still be able to enjoy pool time at one of the three leisure pools available at the resort. Each also offers its own whirlpool spa as well.
If your stay at
Disney's Beach Club Resort is reliant on being able to enjoy Stormalong Bay, I would suggest looking at an alternative Disney Resort Hotel, or if possible, changing the time of your reservation. Even without Stormalong Bay, Disney's Beach Club Resort is incredible. The location is perfect, the rooms are wonderful and the dining is great. We look forward to a visit to
Cape May Cafe and
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop each stay.
If your heart is set on an amazing pool, my kids adore the Luna Park pool at
Disney's BoardWalk Inn, the Fuentes del Morro pool at
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and the Samawati Springs pool at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village.
Enjoy the rest of your planning, Paula. I am sorry that I didn't have more magical news for you, but if there is anything else we are able to help you with, please let us know.
Magical Wishes,
Lauren
