Hello! I've been to Disney plenty of times but this January I will be taking the trip as a mom! Me and my best friend are taking both of our girls and they will be 20 & 17 months old. Looking for stuff to do on our first day. 2nd day is Disney.

    Hi Vanessa!

Thanks for stopping by with your question. I'm sure you are excited about your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World Resort with your daughter. Experiencing the magic of Disney with your child is truly special.

When my wife and I take our little ones down to Disney World, we like to start our visits at the Downtown Disney® Area. All four of my children love visiting World of Disney® to find a souvenir and see all of the decorations in and around the store. In the evenings, my kids enjoy taking part in the DJ Kids Dance Party at Waterside Stage when we visit the Downtown Disney area. In fact, I think my wife and I enjoy it as much as they do.

If you and your friend are staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you could always spend your first day exploring the resort. With so many recreation options and fun activities, there is a lot to see and do at Disney Resort hotels. Even little ones can enjoy the themed playgrounds and children's splash areas.

Please let me know if I can help you with any other questions before your next Walt Disney World vacation.

    Have a magical day!
