Is Disney planning any sort of special events around the 30 year anniversary of Epcot?

    Hi Barb,

Yes. There is lots going on to celebrate Epcot's birthday. Many of the events are for members of Disney's D23 program, which anyone is welcome to join. And some of the events will require advance tickets. You can read about this on Disney's D23 website.

While I don't know for sure, my guess (really only a guess) is that there will also be something to commemorate the event for the general public. The plans for the 40th anniversary of the Magic Kingdom were only announced a few weeks in advance. This included special cupcakes, commemorative pins and maps, special merchandise, speeches, and a parade. Again, nothing like this has been announced yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if this type of thing happens at Epcot on its birthday.

    Hope to see you there!
