will disney have a picture of you when you use your magic band

    Heigh-Ho Martina,

Walt Disney World’s MagicBand is your key to the kingdom. MagicBands, currently, allow Guests access to the parks (after linking a valid ticket or annual pass), entrance to your Walt Disney Resort Room, scan Disney PhotoPass images and purchasing privileges (after entering a personal PIN code) for those staying in a Walt Disney World Resort. With so many colors and designs, Guests are able to have multiple MagicBands assigned to them. Guests can register and access their MagicBands via their My Disney Experience profile.

When accessing a Walt Disney World theme park Guests only need to touch their MagicBand to the access touchpoint reader. Prior to COVID, a biometric scan of your fingerprint was done but at the moment this is not happening. A photo ID could be asked to confirm you are the recipient of the MagicBand, so be prepared, but no picture is taken of you and assigned to the MagicBand.

Thank you for bringing your question to planDisney, if we can be of any further assistance with the planning of your Jolly Holiday, feel free to ask.

Meet the Panelist: Amy, Virginia

I am a Dreamer who has always believed dreams are meant to be the path to your future. Walt Disney, I believe, felt the same way, "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." Disney has always been proof that endless imagination and the passion to make them come to fruition is possible. I will never be to old for Disney, it is home to all of us Dreamers.
