Hello Disney Moms, I have a picky eater (2 yr. old) who will not eat meat, but loves fruit, mac and cheese, grilled cheese, and most breakfast foods. What are some nice restaurant selection that will be okay for him? What character meals would you suggest?

    HI Rebecca!

If your 2yr old enjoys breakfasts, and you'd like to try a Character meal or two, then both the Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's might be great options!

The Crystal Palace is at the Magic Kingdom and feature's Pooh and friends. This is a wonderful restaurant serving a buffet, so there are plenty of options for all types of eaters (including a special kid's breakfast bar). You'll be able to enjoy a great meal and let the characters come to your table, rather than waiting in line for them. Even though my kids are older now, they both still love it here!

Chef Mickey's is located at the Contemporary Resort and is a great choice if you're having a resort day or a day without going to the parks. Mickey and his friends appear here for both breakfast and dinner. This restaurant is also a buffet, so there are plenty of choices.

For either of these restaurants, a great touring strategy is to schedule a breakfast for one of the latest available times. You'll then be able to enjoy the park for a few hours (or sleep in - although I'm not sure that's possible with a 2 yr old!) and then take a nice air conditioned break in late morning.

Each of the parks also offer at least one fresh fruit stand. This is a great snack option to stay healthy and keep kids happy!

Hope this helps! Have a great trip!
