My Disney pass will not load onto my Apple wallet. Once I click add to wallet I get a loading symbol and nothing happens. How can I fix this?

    Hi, Alex! Welcome to planDisney!

Only four more sleeps 'til you arrive at The Most Magical Place on Earth! How excited are you right now? You're in for a holiday adventure full of Mickey wreaths, twinkly lights, and tasty treats. There's truly nothing like the Christmas season at the Walt Disney World Resort, and you'll get to see it all!

While you're busy getting ready for the fun, it sounds like you've encountered a lump of coal when trying to get started with Disney MagicMobile service. That's not very merry at all! I wrestled with it for quite a while before I was finally able to get my family's Annual Passes loaded, so let's see if my experience helps you get things back on track.

We'll start with the basics. First, your Apple device needs to be running iOS 14.4 or later, so check that and make sure everything is updated. You'll also want to have your My Disney Experience app running the latest version. Of course, you should try the usual uninstalling and reinstalling, and rebooting your phone.

I'll tell you right now that none of that worked for me, so I had to take Princess Tiana's advice and dig a little deeper! If you're still having trouble, read on, because your phone settings may be the culprit. Here are some things to try:

     - Make sure you have space in your wallet. It goes in the credit card spaces, which are limited to 8.
     - Enable 2-factor authentication.
     - Set a passcode or enable Face ID (this was my problem - I never used a passcode to unlock my phone!).

In my case, I didn't know that you had to have Apple Pay enabled even if you don't use your phone to pay for things. Once I set it up, I was able to save the passes! I helped another Guest with setting up Apple Pay in a previous question, so take a look if you need a little more info.

Alex, if you still can't get your tickets saved to your Apple Wallet, no worries! You can always use MagicBands or Admission Cards to enter the theme parks, and a Guest Relations Cast Member will be happy to give you some one-on-one help with setting up Disney MagicMobile while you're there.

It's almost time for the magic to begin, Alex! Thank you so much for stopping by to see us, and I wish you and your family a jolly Disney holiday!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

    Kathy K.

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
