Hi Justin!
I'm thrilled that you brought your question to
planDinsey!
While Disney has shifted away from creating and mailing the planning DVDs, I have great news! You can access a great array of vacation planning tools, resources, and tips online! Of course, you have already found one of the excellent Walt Disney World travel planning resources -
planDisney! You will also love the
Vacation Planning site, which gives guidance on many aspects of planning your Walt Disney World vacation! From selecting a package to choosing your
Disney Resort Hotel to buying tickets, this site offers a plethora of planning advice.
And while you stopped by planDisney, I want to give you some of my top tips as well!
The first thing you will want to do is choose when you want to visit! Check out the
Disney Parks Blog for planDisney's top tips on when to visit the parks. My favorite time of year to visit is February because the crowds are light and the weather is great!
Then you will want to choose your
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. I really love
Art of Animation because it is convenient to
Disney's Skyliner, which can take Guests to
Disney's Hollywood Studios and
EPCOT.
Prior to purchasing your tickets, check if your desired date and theme park is available on the
calendar. The calendar is color-coded, so you can easily see if all parks are available (green,) only some parks are available (yellow,) or all parks are unavailable (gray.) Once you double-check your availability, select the number of days you want to visit the parks and purchase your tickets. You can then make your
park reservation online.
Make sure to book any advanced dining reservations in advance as well. I really love
Narcoosee's at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and the
Hollywood Brown Derby at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
If you have any other questions at all,
please reach out to me and let me know!
I hope you have a magical vacation!
Magically,
Stacy
