We will be in Disney Oct 11-16 and are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Have heard Kona Cafe is a great brunch place. Does it make sense to try it out one morning on our way to spend the day at Magic Kingdom? What transportation would you advise? Thx!

    Hi Kelley!

As a huge fan of Kona Cafe at Disney's Polynesian Resort, I am so glad you are looking to try this dining experience out.  Known for great breakfast options such as Macadamia Pancakes and their famous Tonga Toast, many guests make Kona Cafe a definite stop during their vacation!

Your best transportation option from Animal Kingdom Lodge would be taking a bus to Magic Kingdom and then hopping onto the resort monorail to Disney's Polynesian Resort.  It will be a short ride, taking all of 5-10 minutes.  If you are driving, you can park at the Transportation and Ticket Center and then take the resort monorail over.  The monorail will leave you on the second floor of the Poly, and Kona is directly on your left.  I would recommend making a reservation for Kona on the day you will visit MK.  It's a great way to start your day, and transportation to MK is literally right outside the door.

Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!

Hi there! The Disney Parks have been a part of my life since I was a little girl. Introducing my children, husband, and family to all the magic that Walt Disney World can offer has led to countless moments with Mickey and Friends, Disney Vacation Club membership and fun on the high seas with Disney Cruise Lines! Our vacations are usually centered around a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, and I am super excited to help you plan and create magical moments for you and your families!
