Hi Marley, and thanks for bringing your question to planDisney. I’m beyond excited to hear that you’ll be walking down Main Street, U.S.A. and eating all the Mickey-shaped snacks in just a few days! Now, let’s make sure your bags are ready for your upcoming adventure.
If you booked a Disney World vacation package (typically with your resort hotel stay and theme park tickets purchased together), you should've gotten a packet in the mail by now... or it's coming any day this week! This will have your luggage tags and sometimes other goodies like vouchers for mini golf. If you don’t get the packet before you leave, in my experience, you can usually pick up luggage tags from your resort hotel's front desk. The tags are a cute souvenir. I use my Pluto luggage tag even when I’m not going to Disney!
As a
Disney Resort hotel guest, you get so many perks that I didn't want you to miss! If you were interested in purchasing
Lightning Lane Passes, your booking window might have already opened since Disney Resort hotel guests can purchase them up to seven days ahead of check-in for your whole stay (up to 14 days). This really helps for booking Lightning Lane selections for popular attractions like
Slinky Dog Dash and
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
When you get to Disney World, there’s also a new perk for 2025—
complimentary water park admission on check-in day. It’s my new favorite way to kick off the vacation by relaxing after a busy travel morning. And,
Blizzard Beach is celebrating its 30th anniversary this month so you’ll be there just in time for the
special festivities, like dance parties and games.
As a Disney Resort hotel guest, you can also get into the theme parks 30 minutes before other guests through
Early Theme Park Entry. My family and I took advantage of this perk in December and it was a great way to knockout a few rides in the morning with lower wait times. And if you’re staying at a Deluxe Resort hotel or Deluxe villa, you’ll also get access to
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours—perfect for night owls!
And finally, did you know that Mickey and his pals visit the resort hotels throughout the week? There’s usually a sign in the lobby with specific days and times, but ask a Cast Member if you don’t see one. I love these more laid-back encounters with the characters. I mean, what’s more magical than bumping into a Disney friend when you’re walking around the resort?!
I hope you have a magical stay at Disney World next week! And if you have any other questions, you’re always welcome here at planDisney.
