Hello there! Going to Disney next week and I’ll be working remote for part of my trip. Planning to plug in from Epcot. Do you know if there are standard power outlets at Connections Cafe or other spots around Epcot where I could plug in for a few hours?

    Welcome to planDisney, Darren!

Heigh-ho, heigh-ho, it’s off to work you go...straight to EPCOT! It sounds like you’ve got the perfect mix of business and magic lined up for your trip. Being able to take a work call and then hop on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind? Now that’s a productive day!

You’ll be happy to know that yes, there are standard power outlets at Connections Café and Eatery, that can help you stay plugged in while working remote. Inside, you’ll find several seating areas with built-in outlets. Some booths even have USB ports and standard plugs, and there are a few wireless charging tables as well. So grab a latte at the Starbucks and settle in at a table. It’s a comfortable, air-conditioned spot with plenty of natural light.

That said, it can get a little busy during peak meal times, so if you’re hoping to stay awhile, I’d recommend visiting earlier in the day or mid-afternoon to avoid the crowds. And while the park’s complimentary Wi-Fi is available, it’s not always the most reliable for things like video calls, so if you’re planning to Zoom into a meeting with Doc and Grumpy, you might want a personal hotspot just in case.

Outside of Connections, World Celebration Gardens is another nice spot to work. It’s a newer area with tables, chairs, and a few power outlets tucked into poles (llook for white covers marking them). It’s a peaceful outdoor space, though of course, weather in Florida can be a little unpredictable.

You’ll also find some power outlets near the seating areas in The Land pavilion, especially close to the exit of Soarin’. And if you happen to be a Disney Vacation Club member, the DVC Lounge near the Imagination! Pavilion is a hidden gem for working, since it's quiet, air-conditioned, with outlets, comfy seating, and complimentary refreshments.

With a little planning (and maybe a portable charger in your bag just in case), you should be able to get some work done with Spaceship Earth as your office backdrop.

Hope your trip is both productive and magical, Darren! Don’t hesitate to reach back out if you have more questions. We’re always happy to help.
