We are going to Disney next Sunday. I have some questions about the hotel we have booked (Old Key West Resort). Are the pools heated ? Are they open this time of the year ? In the villas, are all the kitchen apparels available ?

Hello, Andrea! Thanks so much for your question. My family and I just returned from a few days at Disney's Old Key West Resort, and it's just so beautiful and bright - we loved it.

I'm so glad I can tell you that the Sandcastle Pool, as well as the leisure pools, are all heated to a beautiful 82 degrees. They are indeed open year round, and while you might want to keep a towel really handy if you find the air has a definite chill, you will be warm and toasty in the pool water.

If you are in a one or two bedroom villa, or the Grand Villa, you will find just about everything you need in the kitchen. A full size refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, oven, and stove give you all the comforts of your own kitchen. Each kitchen also includes enough plates, utensils, and glassware for the number of guests that the room can safely accommodate, as well as things like a toaster, a coffee pot, and basic cookware. The only thing I've actually needed that they don't have is a roasting pan, which I used to bake my Christmas ham, but it was just as easily accomplished on a baking sheet, which is part of the kitchen accessories.

I hope your stay at Disney's Old Key West resort is so much fun. Enjoy every minute of your upcoming stay.
