Marisa,
When it relates to fun resorts at Walt Disney World, there are so many good choices that it is just an embarrassment of riches!
My daughters are big fans of
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, especially for the pools. They love the main feature pool and play area, but they also love the quiet pool. They are also avid resort explorers, and the island themed grounds make them feel like they are in an entire other world.
As for second choices, if your daughter really likes pool time, then there may be no better choices than
Disney's Beach Club Resort and
Disney's Yacht Club Resort. They share the
Stormalong Bay Pool, which is an attraction unto itself. It features a long straight slide that crosses over the walkway that encircles Crescent Lake, originating from a pirate shipwreck! It is entirely covered for a point, which can be an issue with younger children, but it is fun. There are also sand bottom sections of the pool.
Two other great choices with fun, twisting slides are the pools at
Disney's Wilderness Lodge and
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The latter is our girl's other favorite resort, it has a great twisting slide, and with a 5-year old you know that the proximity to the
Magic Kingdom is another plus. It would also make the resort move an easy one.
If I had to recommend a resort, based on your family, I would go with the Grand Floridian, the Beach Club, the Yacht Club, and then the Wilderness Lodge, in that order.

Have a Magical Vacation!
