Hi Karen,
Welcome! Welcome! Welcome! We are so happy that you joined us at
planDisney with your Split-Stay question.
I love this style of vacation, Karen. This way, you can experience the convenience of
Disney Monorail transportation (or a quick stroll) to
Magic Kingdom Park for a few days and then the beauty and excitement of
Disney's BoardWalk for the second part of your vacation. It's like two trips in one! I think you will really enjoy it.
I'm happy to share with you that the amazing Bell Services Cast Members at
Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort will be happy to handle this luggage transfer for you. Simply let them know that you are heading over to the
Walt Disney World Swan Hotel or the
Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel, and they will handle the rest! When you arrive at "Home" at your second Resort hotel, simply call Bell Services to let them know that you have arrived, and they will gladly bring your bags to you.
Tip about Tipping: This is a great time to be generous with a gratuity on both sides of this transfer. These Cast Members never expect a tip, but are always glad to receive one after transporting heavy bags! With the way I pack, they deserve a medal!
Karen, it's important to keep in mind that your bags are going to be on "Vacation time" for a little while. Meaning, they have turned off their cell phones, backed away from their email accounts, and are unreachable for a few hours. Let them experience this time. They work hard. Just be sure to keep all of your time-sensitive goodies like medications with you during this quiet moment for your luggage, since there is a chance you will arrive before they do. If you will be visiting a theme park, you might want to consider bringing a backpack with an easy spare outfit and any important goodies. Then, you can secure it with a
locker rental and head off for another day of excitement!
Come back and visit us at planDisney if you have any other questions, Karen. I hope you have the Best Vacation Ever!
Adventure is out there,
Sally
