Hi Disney Moms, We are going 9/10 to 9/15 with an 8 yr old DS 8and 4yr old DD. Should I buy autograph books before we get there or wait until we are there. Should I bring a backpack with a change of clothes? Thanks and this panel is really great

If you happen to come across an autograph book at home that you'd like to use in the parks, then by all means go ahead and buy it. But if you'd like to use the standard Disney autograph book, I think you'd be fine waiting until your arrival at WDW. You could order an autograph book to be sent to your home through the Disney mail order merchandise department (wdw.mail.order@disneyworld.com), but they would charge you a shipping fee. The Disney autograph books are available EVERYWHERE at WDW: at the airport, in the resort gift shops, at Downtown Disney, in most store in the theme parks. You will have no trouble at all finding one there.

When my kids were four years old, I always carried a change of clothes with me into the parks. There are several interactive fountains and water play areas where you child could easily become soaked. If your eight year old might be OK with a wet T for a while after Splash Mountain, but if he's the type that is uncomfortable when wet, then a change for him is a good idea too. Don't worry too much if you forget though. Disney is well prepared for mishaps; you could buy a full change of clothes for children (and adults) in the parks. The large stores in all the theme parks carry T's, shorts, socks, undies, and even shoes.

    Have a great trip!
