Hi Disney Mom, Is the nature path between Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness open during the construction? Thanks for your help, Adam

Hello, Adam! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

At Destination D last fall, Walt Disney World Resort announced plans for a brand new Disney Vacation Club property. Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge, is set to open in 2022, and the site lies on the shores of Bay Lake, between Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground

When I stayed at Disney's Wilderness Lodge last month, I could see that construction for the project is well underway. Unfortunately, that means that that the walking path is closed for the time being. If you were thinking about using the trail as a means of transportation between the two resorts, I'd recommend taking the water taxi instead, which also stops at Disney's Contemporary Resort and Magic Kingdom Park. We used this mode of transportation often during our trip, and we enjoyed the relaxing cruise along Bay Lake.

If you were hoping to get in a quick jog before hitting the Parks and are staying at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, you could dash into the Sturdy Branches Health Club. Both resorts also have fun recreational activities, such as Boat Rentals, Fishing, Archery, and Pony Rides, that are available to all Guests.

I hope this helps, Adam! See ya real soon!
