Hello again, Gary! We're so happy you decided to stop by planDisney with another great question! I can tell you're getting ready to be in the middle of the magic soon.
I'm glad to hear you're thinking about utilizing
Disney Magic Mobile during your trip. This option allows you to keep your admission tickets in your smartphone's digital wallet, and, in many cases, it alleviates the need to go to Will Call to pick up your Key to the World plastic tickets (however, if you need to activate an annual pass, you will still need to stop at the ticket booth). My teenage sons prefer accessing their tickets on their Apple Watches instead of wearing a
MagicBand, which essentially does the same thing (I have heard reports of MagicMobile not working with some of the older series of watches, so keep this in mind).
If anyone in your party has their own
My Disney Experience account, I recommend that they create a Disney MagicMobile pass on their personal device. That way, they can each use their phones to scan into the turnstiles, and this is especially useful if you decide to split up during the day. You can also choose to share your pass with other members of your travel party (when you set up MagicMobile, you’re presented with an option to “Select Passes to Share”). Anyone who receives your shared pass will be able to add it to their digital wallet. When sharing your pass with others, you have to do it through iMessage, so recipients must have an iPhone and be in your contact list. You can have up to 11 MagicMobile passes in your digital wallet; however, any credit cards, debit cards, etc., that you already have added will count towards that number.
If a member of your party does not have a My Disney Experience account and
their plans are managed by you, it's perfectly fine to create a MagicMobile pass for them; this is great for parents of minors or for companions of people who don't have mobile phones. When you enter the gates, simply bring up the passes on your phone and swipe through them one at a time to scan near the entry touchpoints. In this instance, bring MagicBands or Key to the World Cards as a backup if you decide to split up.
I hope this explanation is beneficial, Gary. We look forward to hearing from you again in the future!
