We are going on the Disney Magic ship in June for a trip to Barcelona/Mediterranean. I was wondering if the ship has regular USA outlets or do we need to purchase European adapters?

Hi, Darleen! Oh my goodness, are you so excited to be headed out for some Magic at sea? My very first cruise ever was on the maiden voyage of the Disney Magic, and I think it remains my most favorite ship at sea.

All of the ships in the Disney Cruise Line fleet use regular 120V USA outlets, which will work with the things you would bring from home. The destinations you'll visit on that cruise use 230V outlets. If you'll be staying in hotels either before or after your stay, you may want to grab a universal outlet adapter, which will allow you to plug in things like your cell phone charger or curling iron at your hotels. I have always carried an adapter with me when I've gone to Europe, and you can get them for under $20 online at places like Amazon. You never know when you'll take too many pictures and need to charge that cell phone battery during port adventure.

For your convenience, there are hairdryers in your stateroom onboard the ship. If you plan on hitting the Senses Spa and Salon during your cruise, you can use all of the toiletries and amenities there, including the hairdryers.

    Wishing you a Magical voyage!
