We will be going on the Disney Magic for 4 nights in the Bahamas, but before departure, we are going to spend a day or two at WDW. I'm wondering what would be the easiest way to get from our hotel (Art of Animation) to Port Canaveral?

Welcome aboard, Ginger! The Disney Magic is Disney Cruise Line's original ship, and certainly holds a special place in my heart. You will really enjoy your four magical nights on that ship!

Pairing the cruise with a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort makes for a very special Land and Sea vacation, and Disney makes it very easy to go back and forth. You can book the entire vacation directly through Disney Cruise Line, as they are happy to help you book resorts, park tickets and ground transportation. If you would like to take advantage of a special for resort pricing or Disney's Dining Plan, you will need to book your resort stay separately through Disney Parks.

Either way, once you have those booked, let Disney Cruise Line know you'd like to use their ground transportation from your resort to the port. Currently it costs an additional $35 per person each way for this service, which you could also utilize from the port back to the airport after your cruise if you'd like. Though it might seem costly, I promise it is the best way to go. Disney takes care of all of the details, making the transition from land to sea very stress-free and seamless.

The evening before you set sail, you will receive notice in your resort room letting you know where to have your bags the next morning. Disney takes the bags which will meet you again in your Magic stateroom, so you don't need to hassle with them at all. The transportation will pick you up at a designated spot and drive you to the port. On the way, you'll enjoy a preview cruise video by Disney and then some Disney cartoons for the kids, making the time go by quickly.

Have fun planning your Surf and Turf vacation with Disney, Ginger! Let me know if you have further questions as I'd love to help!
