Ahoy, Lindsay!
Welcome to planDisney! I always enjoy helping a fellow Georgian with cruise plans, so I'm glad you stopped by. I know how excited you must be to explore The Last Frontier on the beautiful
Disney Magic this summer. This is such a special itinerary with spectacular ports of call for you to experience. It looks very different than our landscape in Georgia! I was in awe from the moment we started cruising up the Inside Passage on my first
Alaskan voyage. Be sure to have a pair of binoculars handy!
Lindsay, I am happy to report that your
stateroom will have a thermostat that lets you adjust from cool to warm. The weather can be unpredictable in the summer months, so it is nice to warm the room up on the cooler days. I usually run cold, so I'm always grabbing one of the blankets on the pool deck to wrap up in. You can ask your stateroom host for extra blankets, or bring a few down from the wooden towel cabinets. They'll be equipped with towels and warm blankets! A perfect souvenir from your adventure is a blanket, either pre-ordered through the
Gift & Amenities section on the Disney Cruise Line website or by checking the
merchandise shops once on board. We purchased one on our Alaskan cruise and use it all the time!
Another way to warm up on your Alaskan cruise, Lindsay, is the complimentary hot cocoa that is offered at the beverage station. I also love coming back on board to find a hot cocoa station set up! If you are a coffee drinker, be sure to stop by
Cove Café for a specialty coffee. I always enjoy seeing what magical latte art the barista surprises me with when I order my favorite, a caramel latte! Although these are an extra fee, you can get your sixth one free after filling your "Café Fanatic Card."
It was a pleasure assisting you, Lindsay! If you have any other questions about your MAGICal cruise this summer, please let us know.
