Welcome aboard, Kay! My mother-in-law is from Scotland, and she enjoys many cups of tea each day no matter where she is. When she set sail with us on one of our Disney cruises, she was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to fix up her own cup of tea. While there are not kettles in the room, nor are guests allowed to bring their own, (
see the prohibited items list for more), it's easy to get hot water for your tea. There is a beverage station on the pool deck that has hot water and various teas, so help yourself whenever you'd like. Bringing your own travel mug is a great idea so you can have it with you around the ship.
Secondly, Disney Cruise Line offers
24-hour complimentary room service. If you'd like a carafe of piping hot water, simply give them a call. They'll bring it to your stateroom, and you'll probably want to have some other yummy snacks off the room service menu too! While it is complimentary, it is traditional to tip the Cast Member who delivers your room service a few dollars in cash, so you may want to have some singles ready in your stateroom for this. When I say they'll deliver piping hot water in a carafe, I mean piping hot! The carafe has kept water and coffee hot for many hours when we've sailed, so rest assured, you can enjoy tea throughout the day with one carafe of hot water.
At any of the main dining restaurants and Cabanas buffet, you can get hot water and various teas as well. You are welcome to bring your own tea bags and simply order hot water, or ask to see their tea samplings! You may also enjoy having tea time at Cove Cafe, near
Quiet Cove Pool, for adults only. They offer some fabulous specialty teas there!
Have a wonderful sailing, Kay!
