Hello, Lauren, and welcome to planDisney! How fun to receive a message from someone in the middle of the magic! It sounds like you're off and running on your
Walt Disney World Resort adventure, so let's look at booking Lightning Lane entries to make your day seamless.
If you've purchased
Disney Genie+ service for today, you can choose your first
Lightning Lane entry at 7:00 AM. However, you won't be able to select your return window; those times are generated for attractions based on the number of guests booking them. My tip is to scroll through the Tip Board in your
mobile app to find a time that works best for the day's schedule. Times will get later as the day progresses and slots fill up.
Once you book your first Lightning Lane entry, you will be eligible to book another in two hours or as soon as you scan in for the first one. You'll see a notice telling you when you can book again near the top of the Tip Board.
Some guests like to "stack" Lightning Lane entries for later in the day. This means that every two hours, they book another attraction for the latest time available. I've done this before, and it makes for a whirlwind of fun at the end of the day!
Remember, you have the flexibility to modify return times in the mobile app for rides you've booked. For instance, my family once got sidetracked meeting Mickey Mouse because the 'Big Cheese' always takes priority! We were nearing the end of a return window for a Lightning Lane, so I hopped on my app and modified our time since later slots were open by then.
My final tip is to consider purchasing
Individual Lightning Lane entrances for any eligible attractions your family wants to experience. You can buy these in the morning and choose from a list of available return times. I've done this for
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and loved its convenience for scheduling my day at EPCOT. You could say I penciled in a time to save the galaxy!
Lauren, I'm sprinkling pixie dust to help you make magical memories this week! Please stop by
planDisney anytime.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
