We are going to Disney in late September with a 2 year old who loves Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Is the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage age appropriate?

    Jenna,

I would certainly not deem it to be age inappropriate. It is not as focused on Jake as you might hope, but it is a fun and scenic time.

On our first time we took my youngest when she was just a few months shy of 3, and she loved it. She even remembers some of it. The 'reception' before was not much to write about, though Captain Hook and Smee showed up, and that was fun. And after the cruise, when we returned to the marina, we met a 'surprise' guest, and that was fun too.

But it was the cruise itself that was the best part of the experience. The on-board guides/entertainers were OUTSTANDING. My wife to this day says that they were the best Cast Members she has ever encountered. They were funny and always in character. Their banter was G-rated, but funny for parents and kids. They had some 'contests' where people could answer questions and win pirate booty, and that was particularly fun for my 2-year old. And of course the view of the Electrical Water Pageant and Wishes were both mesmerizing.

So yes, perfectly age appropriate, and lots of fun!

    Have a magical vacation!
