    We are going to Disney this January and have never been there that time of year. I am wondering what the weather is usually like and what to pack -- shorts and tee-shirts, jeans and sweatshirts? Is it warm enough to swim

    Hi Mariana!

    You've picked a great time to visit Walt Disney World! I love the parks during this time of year for the low crowds and the cooler weather!

    Even though I'm a native New Englander and used to cold weather in the winter, when we travel to Walt Disney World in January and February, we still plan on packing some cold weather clothes. The weather can be quite changeable from day to day and its very hard to predict. Usually long pants and a sweatshirt for evenings (or a light jacket) and shorts or capris during the day are our usually clothing choices. There have been trips when we've worn shorts and tank tops one day, and then long pants and sweatshirts the next.

    I still pack bathing suits as well. While it is January, many times the days warm up enough for a swim or dip in the hot tub, while the evenings cool off after sunset.
