Hiya, Danielle!
Welcome to planDisney! We're so happy that you found us hEAR! I'm Kristen, and I'll be your planEAR today!
Oh boy! A visit to
Mickey's house in October is frightfully fun indeed! I sadly don't have the proper magic mirror to see hotel availability the way that the Hotel Cast Members do, but you're right; just in playing around with the booking platform on the Disneyland.com website, there don't seem to be that many options available at the three
Disneyland Resort Hotels for the whole month! (October is a very popular time of yEAR, mainly due to the separately ticketed event, the
Ooogie Boogie Bash.
You also might have a hard time finding a room if you have more than four or five in your group because the hotel room finder tool is a bit wonky.)
There are, however, plenty of
Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotels in the areas that would love for you to be their Guest.
Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotels are properties that are
not owned or managed by Mickey and his pals, but that
have been meticulously inspected and rated as sweet-dreams worthy and given a magical seal of approval by the big cheese himself.
I'm a serial last-minute traveler, so hEAR are my Pro Tips when looking for beds for our heads close to the magic:
~ When looking at the
Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotel page, your pricing options might be listed as a package that includes
both your
Theme Park Admission Tickets + Hotel Room rate. If you already have your park tickets, you can certainly use this list as a jumping-off place to see which hotels have availability for your Disney dates, and then book a room on the hotel's actual website vs. the disney.com booking portal. (ex: Marriott.com, Hilton.com, etc.)
~ Look for
Theme Park Admission Tickets first as those tend to sell out faster than rooms.
~ Don't forget to make your
Park Pass Reservations, which notate which theme park you plan to play in on which day, as those also have a set limit per day. These sometimes will see Disney dates restocked, so if you purchased your tickets elsewhere but your dates are currently listed as 'no reservations available', keep checking as availability has been known to bounce back a bit.
~ Bonus tip:
hEARs the current Park Pass Reservation availability calendar.
I hope that this helped to clEAR up your question, Danielle, and I truly do hope that you're able to plan some Disney days into your upcoming calendar! Be sure to follow the
