Hi Mary!
Welcome to planDisney! My fellow panelists and I are happy to help guests just like yourself plan their Disney vacation! From resort recommendations to dining suggestions, we've got you covered! Thanksgiving is a great time to be at the Walt Disney World Resort. You will be heading down during a time where
Holiday Magic is here! The theme parks come alive with festive holiday decor while familiar holiday tunes play as you enter. The resorts are decked out in their seasons best, complete with beautiful Christmas trees, unique to each resort! It's truly a magical time to spend with your loved ones while enjoying all that Walt Disney World has to offer!
Mary, currently there are no plans for a holiday buffet in place at the parks or resorts. In order to ensure the safety and health of guests and Cast Members alike, buffets are not available. But rest assured, there are delicious alternatives which may satisfy the need for a turkey and trimmings feast.
Liberty Tree Tavern, located in Magic Kingdom, offers guests a traditional meal, served family-style. The Patriot's platter includes roast turkey breast, along with pot roast and pork, mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, herb stuffing and macaroni and cheese. Top that off with their Oooey Gooey Toffee Cake, and you are set for an unforgettable holiday meal! Another option for you might be the
Chip 'n' Dale Harvest Feast at the Garden Grill Restaurant in Epcot. Sliced turkey breast, herb and leek stuffing, seasonal vegetable, macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes round out what I considered a traditional holiday meal. The bonus is that you can enjoy dinner with some of your favorite Disney characters! Keep in mind both of these dining experiences are served family-style and it one fixed price for the entire meal.
Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!
