I have a Disney hopper ticket my Aunt purchased digitally for me. She has it connected to her My Disney Experience app. Will she have to unlink my ticket for me to link it to my Magic Band that's linked to my Disney experience app?

    Hiya Ashley!

Welcome to planDisney. I’m happy to talk all things Disney with you!

You must be so excited about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Your aunt sounds like she’s taking her fairy godmother duties seriously! Giving the gift of magic is absolutely incredible, and she most certainly deserves a Mickey-shaped treat for being so kind!

Now, let’s get your theme park ticket linked! The unused theme park ticket can be reassigned to you if it is under your aunt’s name. But first, you’ll have to connect with your aunt on the Friends and Family list through your My Disney Experience account. Please follow these steps to connect and plan with our aunt:

-Please click this link and scroll down until you can select the + Add a Guest option.
-You will be asked to enter your aunt’s name and age.
-You will then add her email address, and it will invite her to connect with you.
-After your aunt accepts the invitation to connect with you, you can start planning together, and she can reassign the ticket to you.

For her to reassign the ticket, please have her follow these steps:

-Open her My Disney Experience Mobile App
-Tap the three horizontal bars located on the bottom right
    -Select Tickets and Passes
-Locate the ticket that she would like to reassign. Under it, she will see and select the option “Reassign Ticket.”
-A list of her Family and Friends will pop up, and since the two of you have recently connected, you’ll be on this list for her to choose from!
-Once your aunt chooses you to reassign the ticket, she will continue and follow through the steps until she receives a confirmation that the ticket has been reassigned.

Once your ticket is linked to your My Disney Experience account, it should also be linked to any active MagicBands. To check if your MagicBand is active, please follow these steps:

-Open your My Disney Experience Mobile App
-Tap the three horizontal lines located on the bottom right
-Scroll down and select My Profile
    -Tap on MagicBands & Cards
    -Select Your MagicBands & Cards
-You should see if your MagicBand is active by confirming the ID code here.

If you need help with this, please call a friendly Cast Member at Existing Tickets, and they will be happy to assist you through this process.

Wishing you an enchanting visit, Ashley!
