Hi, Steve! Thank you for reaching out to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I've never considered myself a runner, but for many yEARs, completing a runDisney half marathon was on my bucket list. Three Disney Princess Half Marathons later, I must say I'm hooked! I'm so excited for you to experience the magic of runDisney.
I spoke with a runDisney representative this morning, and she informed me that trikes of any kind are not allowed in runDisney events, including the
Walt Disney World Half Marathon; however, I encourage you to
send runDisney an email explaining your situation. You can you this on the runDisney website under the 'Help & Support' section. Click on 'Contact Us,' and an email template will pop up. You should hEAR back in 10-12 days. Alternatively, you can also give runDisney a call at (407) 939-4786.
The
runDisney Blog is a great source of official information about upcoming events. Recently, they posted news about some fun changes to the 2020 Walt Disney World Marathon course. Although this is unlikely to affect the Half Marathon course, I recommend staying tuned for news about your
run-cation. I like to follow @runDisney on Twitter as well, especially for costume ideas!
Steve, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you'll find a way to complete those 13.1 magical miles! See ya' real soon!
